Company Overview

Founded in 2006 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Austin Relocation specializes in talent mobility solutions for corporate and healthcare companies across the United States. We provide end-to-end services, meaning we oversee as much of the relocation as you want and have the team in place to take care of every detail. Between our company and our network of vendors, we manage everything from the logistics of physically moving belongings to temporary housing, area orientation, home sales, and more.

We are an independent, family-owned company and pride ourselves on making quick decisions and giving clients the personal attention of a small company. We focus on providing one-of-a-kind corporate relocation services and help our clients settle in after their moves.

Austin Relocation will align both policy and technology into a seamless mobility process. Our objective is to know the ins and outs of your business based on company culture and strategy.

We strive to work with companies relocating up to 100 employees, which allows us more time to be hands-on with our relocating services.

Our Mission

We strive to be a personal presence for our relocation clients versus an 800 number and understand that this process has many facets that may have a large impact on the employee and their family. We know that most of the relocation process will take place after work and on weekends so we encourage communication through phone, email, and text so we can respond in a timely manner.

Jon Austin

CEO

Jon, born in Toronto, Ontario moved to Michigan with his family in 1979 and has lived in the U.S. most of his live. Coming from a commercial real estate developer, he joined Austin Relocation in early 2007 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer. He has been a member of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors since 2007, and has earned his CRP® (Certified Relocation Professional). Jon is also a member of ERC (Employee Relocation Council) and provides corporate relocation services to many local business. Jon is also the Associate Broker for Premier Properties of West Michigan which specializes in representing both buyers and sellers in the West Michigan real estate market.

Donielle Austin

Relocation Coordinator

Donielle, a native of West Michigan, began her career in the hospitality industry and excelled in her position to Assistant Manager of Guest Services of one of the areas largest executive hotels. She later achieved a position with a new hotel in Grand Rapids as the Corporate Sales Manager. She joined Austin Relocation in 2006 as the account coordinator and relocation Specialist. Her passion for interior design and construction led her to obtain her real estate license where she’s enjoyed working with buyers and working on new home construction design.

Jessica Heeringa

Relocation Coordinator

Jessica, our newest member of the team takes, great pride in getting to know her clients on a personal level while providing Austin Relocation with a background in graphic design and photography. As Relocation Coordinator, she handles much of our corporate reimbursement process and process documents. Her attentiveness to her clients and negotiation skills have proven to be a great asset in assisting both buyers and sellers navigate our local real estate market.

Terri Velting

Destination Services

Terri Velting, Realtor & Relocation Specialists, joined Austin Relocation in 2018. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything Terri does both professionally and personally.
A veteran of the real estate industry she also has extensive experience as a destination services representative. Her experience includes assisting incoming families with schools, home finding and rental assistance. She also helps them set up their banking, social security and driver’s license. Terri enjoys a good Netflix binge but can also be found walking her 130-pound Alaskan Malamute, Sabre or participating in her favorite sport, golf.
